Tucked away at 9604 Longstone Ln, this charming diner has made a name for itself by serving up delicious and innovative dishes, with its standout offering being the Cast Iron Waffles. These waffles aren’t just your average breakfast staple-they’re an elevated experience that draws you in with their crispy edges and perfectly tender centers, all thanks to the cast iron cooking method.

The menu at Cast Iron Waffles is a dream for anyone who loves breakfast food with a twist. Sure, you’ll find your classic eggs, bacon, and sausage, but the star here is undoubtedly the waffles. They come in various flavors, each cooked to perfection in a sizzling cast iron skillet. The result? A waffle that has a crisp outer texture, while the inside stays soft and fluffy. Top them off with fresh fruit, syrup, or even savory options like fried chicken, and you've got yourself a treat that’s hard to beat.

On a recent visit, I couldn't resist trying the signature dish. The Cast Iron Waffles arrived piping hot, fresh off the skillet, and were just as beautiful as they were tasty. The texture was divine, with the right balance of crispiness on the outside and lightness inside. What really sets these waffles apart, though, is the choice of toppings. I opted for a classic combo-whipped cream, strawberries, and a drizzle of maple syrup. Each bite was a perfect blend of sweet and savory, and I found myself wishing I'd ordered an extra serving.

The service at Cast Iron Waffles is another thing worth mentioning. The staff is friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu, which makes the whole dining experience that much more enjoyable. Whether you’re a regular or a first-timer, the team makes you feel welcome, and their enthusiasm for the food is contagious. The cozy and inviting atmosphere of the diner adds to the overall experience, making it a great place to kick back and enjoy a leisurely meal with friends or family.

For those who prefer variety, the menu offers more than just waffles. You’ll also find a selection of hearty breakfast bowls, omelets, and sandwiches. But let’s be real-if you're going to visit Cast Iron Waffles, you might as well go all in and try one of their famous waffles. They’ve become a local favorite, and it’s easy to see why. Whether you’re in the mood for something sweet or savory, there’s a waffle here for every palate. The mix of textures, flavors, and unique ingredients make it a memorable experience every time.

What People's Say About Place

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely worth the stop! We tried Cast Iron Waffles for the first time and it did not disappoint! The peanut butter cup waffle was rich, sweet, and perfectly indulgent — loaded with chocolate chips, peanut butter drizzle, and topped with whipped cream. The apple pie waffle was a warm, cozy dream with cinnamon, apples, and powdered sugar. To drink, we had the Zombie Guts Refresher, which was tangy, fruity, and super refreshing, and the Spiced Butter Sugar Latte, which tasted like fall in a cup — sweet, buttery, and just the right amount of spice. Everything came out fresh, and the café itself had a really inviting, laid-back vibe. If you’re in Charlotte and want something unique, comforting, and delicious, this place is a must-visit.

Amazing waffles!! Best batter I have ever tasted. I have an extreme sweet tooth so this was the perfect brunch for me. Quiet and cozy atmosphere. Perfect for my children. Not overstimulating. Great prices. We all had drinks and waffles for under $50 and there were 5 of us. I would come back again.

Tiny little shop with the most superb waffles I’ve had in years. The edges are crispy and caramelized, the toppings are phenomenal, and the service was so fast. 10/10 Will definitely eat again!

Ordered the fresh fruit waffle w/ blueberries & added maple pecans. So Yummy! Fruit was fresh waffle was crunchy on outside, yet moist on inside. Not too sweet. Visiting from Texas. When back in town will be visiting again. Highly recommend

A super cute establishment with delicious Waffles, Coffees, and Smoothies (Yes! You heard right; SMOOTHIES!!!) The waffle is a nice thick slice of TLC waiting to be dressed by the many options of your choosing. I choose two waffle options; 1) Fresh Fruit Deluxe with Bananas, Strawberries and Nutella. 2) Apple Crumble Waffle (also, added Nutella). I am still debating which was better. They were both fantastic. White Mocha Latte (20oz): Coffee was perfectly balanced and blended. I didn't even need to add sugar. I loved it! Customer Service: Layla did a fantastic job at providing recommendations, balancing an unexpected rush of customers just before closing, setting expectations, and keeping the orders flowing. What a talent!

If you are craving a sweet breakfast this is the place. Waffles are fresh and they have a fun variety. Parking is hard to find on busy days (like Saturday mornings). It is a nice cozy place, they have a few tables outside. They blueberries and lime is my favorite.

Cute little waffle and coffee shop in the area. The food was super cute as well. A bit too sweet for my liking but the waffles were so so good. You definitely need a knife to cute through them because they are thick! Make sure to ask for syrup if you wanna add it to your plate. Didn’t get to try the coffee but it smelled amazing. Parking on the side street appeared to be fine but there was no actual indicators about where to park.

We were just looking for a good cup of coffee, but man... this place more than hit the spot! Had the "yes, it's bacon" & the "deluxe" waffle. The premium latte was perfect. The waffles were so yummy! My new favorite place for a sweet, quick breakfast.
